I bought this same bag in brown tones at a shop in canada a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it. Used it many many times - usually as carryon and it slips right into the overhead bins on larger planes, and when i am on a smaller aircraft they always gate check for no charge. On a recent overseas trip i checked the bag since it was included in ticket price and i was traveling alone and wanted to lighten up...when putting the bag on the airport scale for the return trip i noticed a gaping hole- like a big bite had been taken out of the bottom of the bag. I have a feeling it happened on the outgoing oversees leg but somehow i never turned it over and looked at the bottom! Weird! Strangely there was no real access through the hole to my stuff, so i felt okay just taping it up with tape the airline agent gave me and when i got home, after unpacking i said a fond farewell to the bag and turned to amazon for a quick replacement since i am traveling again in a few weeks.
