With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

Rugged, Durable, and Light...
I have owned this same exact Delsey Meridian Plus 29" Suiter Trolley roll-around for a few years now. I use it regularly to store various photo-shoot items I don't have to keep with me in my carry-on, like small light stands, backdrops, umbrellas, attachments, clamps, etc; just all sorts of gear. I use it to store these items full-time and have used it as airline luggage with this same stuff inside numerous times. The four 360 degree wheels make it quite easy to navigate airports etc without wearing yourself out, though I will say if you pack it to the max it is wise to pack accordingly; balanced side to side with heavier items at the bottom. It will roll a lot more effortlessly.
Despite its surprisingly thin shell, made of some rugged-as-hell material, it has always proved to be extremely durable and I'm quite confident of its ability to protect my gear. "Hard" material is very weak.
I bought this product hoping to have apiece of luggage that would last a long time. However, to my chagrin, it lasted exactly one trip. The material out of which the luggage is made in not very durable at all. It feels like and protects just as well as, cheap plastic.
On my very first trip I picked up my suitcase from the luggage terminal of a cruise ship and found that it has suffered a giant crack near one of the wheel bases. I figured I could just tape it or use some sort of adhesive or epoxy to repair it, however that was not the case.
I sent Delsey and e-mail with pictures of the damage and they responded within a day. They informed me that the luggage was not repairable and that it would have to be brought into an authorized repair center. This turned out to be a rather dubious and shady luggage store. I decided against taking it there.
At that point I was fed up with the suitcase and decided to just use it in its damaged condition (with some...
love / hate for this bag
I am now on my third bag. All the observations about the cracking around the wheels are correct, the bases of the bag around the wheels do get cracked over time, that is why I am on my third bag now.
Why stay with this bag if it gets ruined after a few years of travel?
Well my principal reason is that, to date, it is still the only bag I have found that allows for a true clothes hanging section. Much like the old steamer trunks the lid has a hanging clothes section, which allows me to have shirts, pants and sport jackets on hangers ready to wear or hang up in hotel rooms. No other hard side (or soft side), rolling bag has this feature, at least not in this price range (I think I have seen some $500-1,000 bags with this feature).
So until someone comes out with a bag with similar function I will continue the cycle of using them until the wheels break off and buying a new one. I hope that Delsey takes our feedback to heart and redesigns this truely...
